The Snow is Coming to Ogden Valley, UT Resorts!

Listen to this foreast! Sounds like we are getting dumped on again just in time for reports to open with great conditions later this month!  Checkout the great travel deals at http://ogden-valley.travel/.

Epic Day at Powder Mountain

A message from Carolyn at Powder Mountain:

What an epic day at Powder Mountain!  I thought my skis were wide but not big enough for this much powder.  I went back to the shop to rent some a set of really wide demo skis!  What fun - lots of face shots.

What could make the day more perfect?  Discounted lift passes.  An adult all day lift pass is $45.  If you are a local, in the military or have a season pass at another resort, you only pay $40.

Weatherman says there is more to come.

It's No April Fool's Joke - It was a Great Powder Day!

Howdy and Rich enjoy the white stuff at Snowbasin.

Surpise, Surprise!

What a nice surprise to wake up to 6 inches in Ogden Valley, and a foot or more on the mountain by the time the lifts started! Resorts only reported 3 or 4 inches in early morning posts, but we found lots more to play in. Check out the great links for conditions and forecasts at: http://www.ovba.org/snow/ . (UTAH SNOW SURVEY... That's how I knew that there were 10 inches at 7,550 ft level at 8 AM, and now I see 2 more inches fell after that.)

Then click over to http://www.ovba.org/ for local dining, recreation, services and retail options in the Ogden Valley, centrally located between Snowbasin, Powder Mountain (check out Snowboardemag.com feature) and Wolf Creek Utah (formerly Wolf Mountain) Ski Resorts. The site also has a detailed Calendar of Events for Eden, Huntsville, Liberty and nearby Ogden City. See you on the slopes!

Now That's A Lot of Snow!

Sixteen inches at Snowbasin, fourteen inches at Wolf Creek Utah, and ten inches at Powder Mountain by early morning - and I know those numbers DOUBLED during the day. No pictures due to the whiteout conditions (unless someone sends some to me) - but we sure like having the base increase like this to ensure a great long spring skiing and boarding season! Did I mention that is supposed to snow MORE tomorrow? Fun, fun!

Face shots all day long!

Barb and Howdy in Powder Heaven

Talk about a dump! You can see Barb's smile right through the cold smoke. It just got deeper for every run at Snowbasin. Looks like similar conditions at Powder Mountain below - thanks to the magic of email, I can report on both resorts on the same day.
